Mother & Daughter

This mom and daughter duo is absolutely stunning. Seriously. I will give anything to look this beautiful when I have teenage daughters!! This Mom is not only beautiful, but oh so fun! She is always smiling and laughing, and always brings a beautiful joy to those around her!

For this session we tried to sneak in a bluebonnet session before they all vanished for the season. I really cannot believe how short a time they stick around for. They are truly only in abundance during the month of March. We did find a gorgeous venue for photographs, and I was so thankful to this mom for suggesting the location! What a wonderful choice!!

I added a blue-ish haze to these black and whites, and I think it pairs extremely nicely with the bluebonnet feel and atmosphere. Kind of "cooling" it down to match the blues of these wonderful wild flowers.

We found this awesome tile mosaic art, and I just die every time I look at this picture. It speaks to me so strongly. I think it's the BEST representation of these two ladies' personalities. Fun, bright, giving, caring...

These two pictures, I REALLY cannot decide which edit I like better. In fact, I gave 3 different versions back to her! Because seriously, she looks stunning in each one!!!! I almost want to frame it and  put it on my wall..... is that creepy? Nah!!

"Smart" Family

I LOVED this family's photo session!!! The mom asked for something less "nature-y" and after thinking about all the locations I normally visit or see during my days, I was reminded of this place, that I have often seen and thought, "That library would make COOL photos!" when I suggested it to her, she seemed pleased with the idea, and I have to say, I love how their session turned out! They were short on time, and packed a picnic, which made for some fun lifestyle-family shots! As well, I packed some Dr. Suess books, after all, we WERE at the library! So we had a quick little ready session after our picnic dinner.

I absolutely adore lifestyle documentary photojournalism. I love that this family will have these great pictures as a reminder of how they interacted with their children when they were this little. What a fun thing to get to cherish pictures of a mom reading to her daughter! Gah! I love it!!

And to top off the fun, this little family was so photogenic and easy going. There were a few disasters of the night, but that didn't put a damper in anybody's smile. The little girl was SO sweet and giggly! And the baby boy.... he was a gem, but seriously, who could even get past those piercing blue eyes?!!

I just love all the little moments documented of each relationship. -A dad with his son.- Priceless.

She asked for less nature, and she got it. I am so intrigued by this shot, with all the lines and windows and reflections of the library. very cool indeed.

Okay, this little mini series is my favorite. I had to blog all the shots, because I loved it. I went through a few different things when we took them, "Look at sister, look at mom, etc." and it seriously, wasn't until I pulled them up on the computer that I realized the little boy also was looking in the "right" direction for every shot also!! Ha! It totally cracked me up!!

"Look at me."

"Look at Dad."

"Look at Mom."

 "Look at Sister."

"Kiss baby brother."

This was so fun. Dad loved the little touch of the flags in the background. Just a little something to document their time here in Texas:)

And seriously, does it get any sweeter than this? A sister with her baby brother, and her parent's love right there in the background..... So perfect.

Best Friends Forever

These two girls are so cool! For real. I love them. They babysit my kids, and they are some of the best teenage girls I know! And my kids love them, to boot! ha ha!! One of them will be moving away this summer and they wanted to do some BFF pics before then. So, we went out and took some fun pictures of them. Seperately and together. I think we got so many fun and cool pictures for them!!! I'm so glad that they will always have these pictures to document what a great best friend they had growing up!!

Sisters in Blue Bonnets

These little sisters did a whirl-wind Photo session! Ha! We had her 4 girls, and my 4 kids, all out in the scorching hot blue bonnet fields.... It was a trial to say the least! So, to show off the fact that we got some wonderful pictures of these little girls, is an accomplishment!!

I love most that each of these sisters has her very OWN look and very OWN style!! They are just so different!! How fun {and trying} it will be to grow up in a household of all girls!!
